Calender of Events.
Fishing, sailing and culture are the centerpieces for
the busy calendar in The Lslands of The Bahamas. While
many events take place in the tourist hubs of
Nassau/Paradise Island and Grand Bahama Island, the
quieter Out Islands throw more than their share of
celebrations.
New Years Day Junkanoo Parade On Bay Street,
downtown Nassau, during the early morning hours,
(starting at 2:00 a.m.) Junkanoo, a kaleidoscope of
sound and spectacle (a bit of Mardi Gras, Mummer's
Parade and ancient African tribal ritual), takes place.

If you're in the mood for wining

Deep sea fishing
Hire a boat and head for the deep. Charters can be
arranged for half or full days through most major hotels
or directly through operators in Montego Bay, Negril,
Ocho Rios and Port Antonio.
Golf
Jamaicans have always taken golf very seriously.
Inspired, quite likely, by their rich British heritage,
accommodating weather, and truly spectacular terrain. |

Trinidad and Tobago launches itself
into its biggest outpouring of energy and creativity
ever witnessed. Carnival is not a parade. You don’t just
stand on the side and watch it go by. You see it, hear
it, smell it, taste it, breathe it and live it.
Sport Fishing Long, white sandy beaches
lead to the sea, where you will find reefs thriving with
fish of every color imaginable. Just a couple of miles
from the coast, anglers will find perfect habitat for
all the south Caribbean's prized game fish. |
